week 7 - blog reflection
Within week 7, in order to plan our shooting script, as a
group we researched various music videos in the style of the indie rock genre.
This is to establish a better understand of the production ethics which are
used on the different styles of music videos. After researching various videos,
we then made ideas for our shooting script, with regard to our music video. We
then started our shooting script in preparation for our music video through
discussing when and what shot should happen first and in what order.

week 6 - blog reflection
As we have completed our treatment plan, we now have to
start planning our designs for the digipak and advert for our music video.
Therefore, within week 6 we have been carefully considering and designing what
we want to be used in our digipak and advert. As we had a successful plan of
our digipak and advert we then designed a rough copy on paper, using different
colours where necessary to see what works best, as well as the colouring for
our advert. When we all agreed with the colours to use on our final digipak and
advert, we designed our final copy which we will use as a reflection.

Job Roles.
Job roles
As there are many jobs required to film our music video, as a team we have to share the job roles equally, so that it is fair for all of us. As a group we decided to pick the roles we felt were best suited for us, taking into account our strengths and weaknesses. This would ensure that the best team member is the better expert at a particular cast.
Locations
/Recce manager
Will be Charlene as pitching her idea for this music video she exactly knew what locations she wanted to use to film the music video. As a result of this the role of the Locations /Recce manager was delegated to Charlene.
Casting agent
As a group we decided that I (Charlene) will be the casting agent, because I have an increased knowledge of the locations that will be used within our music video production, due to the familiarisation of the Southbank area as I live relativley close by. In addition, as my group decided to use my unsigned chosen artist, I made the pitch for my music video, therefore, I had a plan of who my cast members would be.
Costume designs
Myself (Charlene) has been allocated the role of being the costume designer, as I have worked in the retail industry and I enjoy tyring out new clothes that are in season. Therefore, I am the more stronger team member that has knowledge within this sector, so I will be able to outline outfits to be worn for the music video pitch to meet the target audience, as well as to relate back to the style and genre of the unsigned artist Bethan Mary Leadley.
Set manager
Kory will be the set manager, as he wants to have the chance to be creative, as well as being in charge of the settings that are neccessary for the production of our music video. Kory enjoys observing situations, therefore, he believes that he this will enable him to recognised any risks and problems associated with the settings of our production.
Photography
Temitope has taken on the role of being our allocated photographer for our media production, as she has the required skills and experience for the role of the photographer. Therefore, we have no doubt that this will enhance the creativity of the photos taken; with regard to the use of different angles and shots, she will know a vast amount of places to use for any of our photographic imagery.
Call sheets
Temitope will be in charge of the call sheets, as she has strengths in time management skills, as well as planning skills. This would help us out as a group significantly, as she will ensure that we are in the specific locations at the required time, for the neccessary filiming.
Storyboard
Kory has decided that he would like to complete the story board for our music video production, as he had been pleased with the storboad that he has produced during AS media studies.
Flat plan
With regard to our flat plan, we have decided amongst oursleves that we will complete this task as a group, as we all need to agree with the plan for th flat plan and be creative together. By doing this task together, this will increase the creativity of what will do for our flat plan.
Production schedule
I (Charlene) will take on the role of being incharge of the production schedule, as I am good at organising events due to my work experience at Live Magazine. This will allow me to plan an efficient plan that suits all parties within my media studies group, so it ensures we are all together filiming.

Director
Both myself (Charlene) and Kory have decided to be the director of the music video as we both have good leadership skills, therefore this will enable us to direct us and Temitope in the appropriate to get the best out of thr group for the input of our music video production.
Cinematography
Kory will be in charge of the cinematography as he is good at figuirng out the best angles and shot types. He was also in charge of the cinematography in AS, so he has more experience in this area.
Make-up artist
Both Kory and Temitope have decided that it would be best for myself (Charlene) to be the make-up artist, as I sometimes wear make-up and I enjoy doing peoples make-up.
Graphic designer
Temitope will be our graphic designer, as she believes that she is good at using computers, and if there are any concepts that she does not understand she will us eher initiative to research the areas she is struggling with.
Typography
All three of us within the group will be incharge of the typography, in order for us to input all of our ideas for the typography for our flat plan and digipak.
Photoshop
A2 will be our first experience using photoshop, therefore it is vital that we all use our ideas to be creative and learn, as well as developing our editing skills on photoshop.
